A young company located in the heart of Rotterdam, making the shipping industry cleaner and more fuel-efficient. Our cloud-based dashboard allows maritime companies to monitor their fleet, and take action to reduce fuel consumption and emissions from their ships by pinpointing technical and logistical issues in their fleet. Using a unique, in-house developed Digital Twin model, we are able to monitor any ship without the need to install hardware onboard.

You will work with a small team of developers lead by the project manager.

You will be working in a growing team of environmentally aware, international, driven and focused people. Get to know and work with (inter)national maritime companies. Direct contact with all involved developers, good coffee, and a daily ping-pong match when at the office. What you will be doing:

  • You will develop the backend side of our platform, with focus on new functionalities and APIs as well asexisting services and APIs.
  • You will perform bug fixes.
  • You will keep the backend up to date and well-maintained.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has a minimum of 2 years relevant Python development work experience.
  • Is an experienced Junior or Medior.
  • Cares about code quality, low maintenance and development velocity.
  • Has experience with web development, web technologies and APIs.
  • Is experienced with working in an agile development team.
  • Is a team player, good communicator, a passionate developer.
  • Maritime knowledge and knowledge of physics is a plus
  • Knowledge about AWS, Nginx and experience in Flask is a plus
