Performance monitoring

Our performance monitoring platform allows cargo- and ship owners to monitor the performance of their (chartered) ships. Monitoring the vessels carrying your goods has never been an easy task, since the ships’ noon reports were the only way to keep track of ship performance – until now. Our digital performance monitoring platform allows for the remote monitoring of ships in the best way possible, giving you direct and real-time insight into vessel performance and critical parameters.

How performance monitoring works

To accurately monitor ships, we create a Digital Twin. The Digital Twin is a digital replica of the ship , virtually representing it precisely the same as her real-life counterpart. This Digital Twin is fed with data of all  parameters that influence performance. To illustrate, we’ve listed a few of those parameters below.

Using these parameters, the instantaneous performance of the ship and each of its components is simulated and displayed. This performance is the achievable performance of the ship, when sailing in perfect technical condition, i.e. no fouling or technical issues. Fuel consumption and emissions are presented and can be benchmarked with actual on-board measurements or noon-reported data for precise and accurate insights. Any difference between the two are inefficiencies, such as hull-fouling, or incorrect reporting. Using this data, the performance manager can take informed decisions on the need for maintenance, or correct reporting issues.

Of course, all of this data is displayed in a useful and practical manner. This means that the remote monitoring of ships provides previously unheard of opportunities for more efficient planning and active performance monitoring.
